Back in June 2021 Ramona contacted me because she saw one post on Twitter and she felt confident enough to try her luck. Ramona’s mum died just month or so ago from cancer. She died young in her early 50’s which was a shock for the whole family. Ramona found out the day after the funeral that the father she knew as her father, is not her biological father! That was another big shock for Ramona which shook her tremendously. She found herself in very confusing situation where she couldn’t even ask her dad what is going on as she was sworn to secrecy by the person who told her the news. At that time she did My heritage DNA test which only brought 53 cm match on the paternal side. I advised her to do Ancestry DNA test and explained that due to her having so small matches, Ancestry test is what it had to be done. She took many months before she did ancestry test. Her ancestry dna test results were ready in April. The highest match being 126cm. It took several days before I could point to the right family that her father came from. Ramona got in touch with potential auntie who then told her that she has a brother! He is 14 years younger than her and they met. He did test for Ramona and we had the results last night. They are indeed half siblings and therefore his father is her father also. They are already bonding and both of them grown up as an only child, feel now amazed by the prospect of having sibling. I love happy endings 😀
